UN Sustainable Development Goals
All of the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) directly or indirectly influence our development, production, and sales to customers worldwide. Therefore, it is natural for dantoy to work on implementing these goals within the company.
All SDGs are equally important, and we have reviewed and considered each one.
Initially, we have chosen to focus on selected SDGs. It will be an ongoing process for dantoy to work towards all 17 SDGs.
At dantoy, we have committed to meeting the requirements set by Ecolabel Denmark. This ensures that we are a sustainable company with a focus on circular economy. Through this, dantoy meets several of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
dantoy is proud to be a sustainable company, but there are always areas for improvement, particularly in social, environmental, and economic aspects.
Through communication and collaboration with other partners, we will share our progress with you.
Selected Sustainable Development Goals
- Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all ages
- Provide access to education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all
- Ensure sustainable consumption and production practices, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and the Nordic Swan Ecolabel
- Collaborate through partnerships, including Stena Recycling, the Danish Technological Institute, and the Confederation of Danish Industry
dantoy’s Goals
dantoy aims for 99% of our raw materials, masterbatches, and additives to be free of harmful chemicals and eligible for the Nordic Swan Ecolabel. Through collaboration with Ecolabel Denmark, dantoy ensures that most of our products consider the entire lifecycle of the product.
Thus, at dantoy, we take responsibility for our raw materials, consumption, and production, benefiting workplace health and well-being worldwide, as well as the children playing with Swan-labeled toys. This also benefits the environment, both on land and in the sea.
We have set a goal that by 2025, 90% of our plastic waste will be recycled internally at dantoy.
dantoy currently grinds and recycles a significant portion of the company’s plastic waste—primarily as a mix—for "black" plastic. We will continue to develop our recycling practices to add greater value to recycled plastic.
At dantoy, we aim to retain our employees and promote long-term employment by focusing on health and well-being initiatives. We emphasize good physical working conditions, have an active staff association, and offer all employees health insurance.
Focus on dantoy
dantoy is working to find and use sustainable materials.
Through development, including the use of “new” types of raw materials such as bio-based plastic (made from sugarcane) and ensuring the reuse of all our plastic waste, dantoy leads the way in ensuring sustainability and a circular economy.
We are working to reduce our environmental footprint. One of our initiatives is to significantly reduce waste by reusing our plastic and cardboard packaging. This effort also includes partnerships with companies like Aage Vestergaard Larsen and Stena Recycling, who help ensure that most of dantoy’s waste is recycled.
